Countess of Chester

We, the undersigned, call on the Countess of Chester Hospital Foundation Trust to reverse its decision to bar patients from Wales from new outpatient referrals. The unilateral ban on Welsh patients is unethical and goes against the values of the NHS. There is a financial dispute that needs to be resolved urgently between various NHS bodies and they must act immediately to end this stalemate. In the meantime we demand that patients are allowed to access services at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Born in West Cheshire Hospital Chester, Doctors in Chester, Live just inside the Welsh border, and used Chester hospitals and doctors all my life. Yes now I am being told this. One NHS it should be, and both sides of the NHS need to put the patient first.

My address com postcode is classed as Chester but I live over the border in North Wales. My nearest hospital is COCH and should have the right to be seen and treated just like any other English patient. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

This is a diabolical decision . Sort out the funding so patients continue to have a choice .

NHS of Wales should revert back to being NHS UK!!! Health care should be the same for everyone in UK!!!

It’s disgusting that patients are prevented from being referred to the Countess of Chester hospital. When the hospital was built it was done to serve people in all surrounding areas. The mess needs to be sorted out between the NHS trusts and the ban lifted to prevent patients from suffering from the admin issues that have caused the ban in the first place!

Always been to the countess. My children were born here. I really dont like or want to use the local welsh hospital as this is further away than chester
