Countess of Chester

We, the undersigned, call on the Countess of Chester Hospital Foundation Trust to reverse its decision to bar patients from Wales from new outpatient referrals. The unilateral ban on Welsh patients is unethical and goes against the values of the NHS. There is a financial dispute that needs to be resolved urgently between various NHS bodies and they must act immediately to end this stalemate. In the meantime we demand that patients are allowed to access services at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

This has always been my go to hospital ! I have never had a problem with Chester and trust them with all mine and my children’s healthcare… it is wrong that they can just turn people away for living somewhere!

I would not have had my son at Wrexham Maelor as the care is awful so glad I got to have him at the countess. Patients should have the option to get a second opinion elsewhere.

6 years waiting for an operation at Wrexham, but after pre opp my low blood pressure ?? Sends me back to Chester cardiac who monitor me test, me and say I’m as strong as an ox, but Wrexham just ignore, then another year passes, I get worse walking , chester are helpful and considerate but Wrexham ha,ha useless, I just want all my records in one place , CHESTER
