Stop urban sprawl on Mold Rd green field

No description available.

A proposal to build a new estate of almost 100 houses on green fields off Mold Road will cause more urban sprawl. The scheme will also cause more congestion on the Mold Road, an important link from the Gwersyllt area into Wrexham. It will also put more pressure on existing services such as health, schools and other infrastructure.

The plan is currently at the consultation stage before being submitted for planning permission to Wrexham Council. It's important that you have your say at this stage to make it clear that local residents have legitimate concerns about this development.

We, the undersigned, oppose plans to build another 100 houses on a greenfield site off Mold Road next to St Giles Park estate on the grounds of increased congestion on an already busy road and increased pressure on schools and health services.

I oppose the planning application on the grounds of there are plenty of brown field sites that could be used and councils should try a bit harder to protect greenfield land.

Totally unnecessary development on a green field site. Despite what the proposal suggests, the local doctors, dentists and schools do not have the capacity to meet current demand and certainly not from an additional 96 households. Enough is enough and no the this exercise in profiteering by out town developers at the expense of the local community.

Far too built up on an already heavily congested road

Yet again nobody is thinking about the issues we have at the doctor’s and hospital. Nobody is taking into account that the population of Wrexham will reduce by 2028. We are becoming a big housing estate for people to work and socialise in England. We need to protect our green spaces which are fast disappearing in this part of Wrexham.

If approved there will be an increase in noise and dust for the duration of the development, The wildlife and fauna will be affected adversely. Bordering the site are trees covered by preservation orders . Gwersyllt will risk losing its separate identity along with another green space . It’s just greed. I applaud plaid for standing against it.

The church I belong to was recently told it would be impossible to get planning permission to build new houses on the site of a now unused Chapel in Wrexham because the council has imposed a moratorium on all new build houses in Wrexham as new builds are leading to river snd water course pollution in the Wrexham area. This was at a location much further from the R Alyn, is not green belt land, and would have involved no more than 2 houses. Is this religious discrimination, only supplied to church related buildings, or is it that WCBC turn a blind eye if any wealthy enough developers want planning permission?

I object to the new development because of the road safety access in and out, traffic congestion, impact on our local schools, doctors, hospital. Lack of green spaces between town and villages. Our environment. We don’t need more new houses, we should be developing those that require attention and not habitable in wrexham. We don’t have the infrastructure for yet another 100 houses. The lack of upkeep and road maintenance is already in a poor state to increase the amount of traffic will add to this issue.

This is not a good idea, you people cannot decide if the public don’t agree.

Traffic on this road is already appalling. More houses will make this worse. No drs surgeries, no dentists. Impact to residents could not possibly be positive
