Plans for 455 new houses on the Circus field on the Mold Road are the latest example of growing urban sprawl in Wrexham borough. If you look at the map you'll see the planned new estate will fill all the fields to the south of the farm shop right to the A483 and Mold Rd roundabout. In addition, there will be houses on both sides of Stansty Lane beyond the underpass.
This raises serious questions about increased traffic on what is essentially a country lane. It also raises questions about how the road network by Ysgol Plas Coch and adjoining roads will cope with hundreds of extra cars at peak times. There is already planning permission for 400 new flats on the Glyndwr university campus that will be accessing Plas Coch Road. Imagine the congestion at rush hour!
And what about health services, schools and other essential services?
