Save Ruabon MUGA

We the undersigned want to see Ruabon MUGA saved and maintained as a valued play area for younger residents. We call on Ruabon community council to make the space safe, to maintain it regularly and to work with local residents to bring it back into use and identify opportunites to improve the facilities.

Ruabon MUGA is a valued play area that has deteriorated over time and suffered from a lack of maintenance and anti social behaviour. We the undersigned want to bring the area back into full use for residents.

I’m happy to see the MUGA being cleaned up. I used to live playing on there when I was younger.

I would also like to see the footpath along side the muga be resurfaced and the hedges cut right back, so that people with wheelchairs and double buggies can access safely and parents with young children able to walk side by side, not single file.

Definitely needs to be revitalised and have some money invested in it. I remember spending time there as a kid and has always been a central point for children to enjoy themselves.

This area is very important to the kids in Ruabon, money definitely needs spending here to bring it up to standard

It’s big enough space to fit two pitches on. Shame it’s been closed and never maintained but the children in our area have nothing compared to most areas in the holidays they have free clubs that run in most areas. Ruabon have nothing like that for our children. Maybe if there was more facilities for children and young adults then maybe it would help with antisocial behaviour.
