I support the Crispin Lane location:

As the oldest international football pitch in the world (in continuous use), as the location of the only public house associated with a football club with such a rich and vibrant history in itself, as the location of some of football’s greatest triumphs and exploits by some of the greatest names in footballing history, as the site of the oldest film footage of football and it’s close proximity to a university campus which prides itself on it’s sporting achievements and can serve as a beacon of inspiration to students and also be ideally situated for best use for continued study by those students. For ALL these reasons, and many more I fully endorse the siting of such an important establishment at the Racecourse, which I feel would bring much-needed investment to the area and favour it’s better use.

Long-term thinking says that hopefully many people who come to watch matches will also venture ‘next-door’ rather than to a completely different venue… and also encourage more sustainable use of the sites other assets such as parking. MANY people travel from far-afield to take part in events at the Racecourse (being also ideally-located next to the busy train station and main roads), and THEY would be the ‘ideal’/constant stream of sustainable revenue for the location in my view.

To position such an important investment into Welsh cultural and historic life ANYWHERE else would be a catastrophe and solely done for OTHER political reasons: THEHOME’ OF WELSH FOOTBALL IS WREXHAMRACECOURSE’!

Its time the North had its fair share of inward investment. Far too many government funded or assisted projects are centred in the south of this country.
