No to 92 houses off Llay New Road

There are proposals to build 92 houses and apartments on a group of fields off Llay New Road and close to Plas Acton Cemetery. If this development goes ahead it will cause the villages of Rhosrobin and Pandy to merge and mean the loss of valuable green barrier land. The area has already seen a flood of housing applications in recent years for hundreds of new builds but there are no plans to improve our roads, health or education infrastructure. There is no local need for this development.

Mae yna fwriad i adeiladu 92 o dai a fflatiau ar gaeau oddiar Ffordd Newydd Llai ger mynwent Plas Acton. Os bydd y datblygiad hwn yn mynd yn ei flaen bydd yn achosi i bentrefi Rhosrobin a Pandy uno ac yn golygu colli tir agored gwerthfawr. Mae'r ardal eisoes wedi gweld llwyth o geisiadau tai yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf ar gyfer cannoedd o adeiladau newydd ond nid oes unrhyw fwriad i wella ein ffyrdd, gwasanaethau iechyd nac ysgolion. Nid oes angen lleol am y datblygiad hwn.

Rydym ni sydd wedi llofnodi isod yn gwrthwynebu cynlluniau i adeiladu 92 o dai ar gaeau gwyrdd rhwng Rhosrobin a'r Pandy

We the undersigned oppose plans to build 92 houses on green fields between Rhosrobin and Pandy

    Comments:

Old Rhosrobin currently contributing with 189 new houses on green barrier.

Site is designated as a green barrier.

    Loss of habitat.

    Loss of biodiversity.

Loss of green space, dog walking, exercise etc.

Area is currently used responsibly by residents.

    Noise during construction affecting cemetery.

Noise from car/house alarms after construction.

Increase in vehicle emissions and traffic flow on Plas Acton lane and Pandy.

    Convergence with Pandy.

The number of objections is important, however ultimately the council will decide either way on valid argument, reasoning and comments, uploaded onto the Planning Web Site.I would ask to all who have signed the petition to upload objections. Note, this is not limited to one objection per household. I would guess that it will go “live “early October. Planning and building control | Wrexham County Borough Council

Traffic very busy now, loads of accidents and near accidents that have not been reported, increasing the traffic, noise and bad for the environment, and increase in traffic fumes. Big fat NO.

Don’t be like every other council and sell out to housing developers. You’ve clearly not built a masterplan for how this all fits together. It’ll lead to idling cars, poor infrastructure, pollution, unsafe roads but most importantly – you’re killing off more green land. I’m sick of it.

Money needs to be spent renovating our derelict high Street. New flats above shops would not only provide an affordable housing solution for small families and single occupants, it would also help the businesses below thrive. We need to preserve the few green spaces for the sake of what little wildlife remains there.

Added traffic and keas green space is not a proposed replacement for the land being taken awaym the impact the traffic would have in our local area would be detrimental to the current heavy traffic.

Our schooling doctora dentists would suffer severely .

There is already alot of traffic using our village as a by pass from neighbouring villages this would be alot worse. Safety and impact of local amenities to those currently in the area.
