No to 92 houses off Llay New Road

There are proposals to build 92 houses and apartments on a group of fields off Llay New Road and close to Plas Acton Cemetery. If this development goes ahead it will cause the villages of Rhosrobin and Pandy to merge and mean the loss of valuable green barrier land. The area has already seen a flood of housing applications in recent years for hundreds of new builds but there are no plans to improve our roads, health or education infrastructure. There is no local need for this development.

Mae yna fwriad i adeiladu 92 o dai a fflatiau ar gaeau oddiar Ffordd Newydd Llai ger mynwent Plas Acton. Os bydd y datblygiad hwn yn mynd yn ei flaen bydd yn achosi i bentrefi Rhosrobin a Pandy uno ac yn golygu colli tir agored gwerthfawr. Mae'r ardal eisoes wedi gweld llwyth o geisiadau tai yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf ar gyfer cannoedd o adeiladau newydd ond nid oes unrhyw fwriad i wella ein ffyrdd, gwasanaethau iechyd nac ysgolion. Nid oes angen lleol am y datblygiad hwn.

Rydym ni sydd wedi llofnodi isod yn gwrthwynebu cynlluniau i adeiladu 92 o dai ar gaeau gwyrdd rhwng Rhosrobin a'r Pandy

We the undersigned oppose plans to build 92 houses on green fields between Rhosrobin and Pandy

This idea to build these houses is absolutely ridiculous. These people who do the road survey should come to Wrexham now and when there is an accident on the Gresford roundabout, the traffic blocks nearly all the roads off in Wrexham. Build them somewhere else. It will ruin this little village m, that had no shops no school and no bus routes.

Wrexham Council if accepting this proposal would be going against all they purport to stand for. They have just recently announced they were to introduce new meadow land! What do they think this land is? The diversity of plants, butterflies and birds is amazing.

As a school crossing lady, i would suggest building more houses around this area would be detrimental to the safty of pedestrians. With more vehicles on the road i would suggest there would be more ques and thus less patience.

I would also suggest it would impact our environment and cause problems to our local wildlife which would not be at all eco friendly.

Plas Acton Road is already gridlocked at peak times without adding another 90+ homes. Local Schools are oversubscribed as are Doctors Surgeries and Dental Practices

We need to keep our green spaces and the traffic is already busy around the area proposed for the dwellings.

Development has capacity for almost 200 cars with only one entrance / exit. The volume of traffic in the area is already significant and the proposal will inevitably increase the volume of traffic and cause even more congestion and air pollution.

There is already a high volume of traffic using the Rhosrobin Road/Llay New Road junction and there are considerable queues at the junction especially at peak times; the plans include parking for some 180 cars which will further increase the traffic problems at this junction.

My issue is who is it for ? Wrexham or Chester. The roads are a nightmare now particularly at the Llay Bluebell lane junction. The play area needs to be within the estate. And lastly Dictators don’t listen to people it’s just a propaganda exercise "we asked and no one objected. As the Cheif Inspector for Wales said “we are not here to protect you ! we are to protect the Government from being accused of not protecting you” a total waste of time.
