No to 92 houses off Llay New Road

There are proposals to build 92 houses and apartments on a group of fields off Llay New Road and close to Plas Acton Cemetery. If this development goes ahead it will cause the villages of Rhosrobin and Pandy to merge and mean the loss of valuable green barrier land. The area has already seen a flood of housing applications in recent years for hundreds of new builds but there are no plans to improve our roads, health or education infrastructure. There is no local need for this development.

Mae yna fwriad i adeiladu 92 o dai a fflatiau ar gaeau oddiar Ffordd Newydd Llai ger mynwent Plas Acton. Os bydd y datblygiad hwn yn mynd yn ei flaen bydd yn achosi i bentrefi Rhosrobin a Pandy uno ac yn golygu colli tir agored gwerthfawr. Mae'r ardal eisoes wedi gweld llwyth o geisiadau tai yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf ar gyfer cannoedd o adeiladau newydd ond nid oes unrhyw fwriad i wella ein ffyrdd, gwasanaethau iechyd nac ysgolion. Nid oes angen lleol am y datblygiad hwn.

Rydym ni sydd wedi llofnodi isod yn gwrthwynebu cynlluniau i adeiladu 92 o dai ar gaeau gwyrdd rhwng Rhosrobin a'r Pandy

We the undersigned oppose plans to build 92 houses on green fields between Rhosrobin and Pandy

The proposed development will increase the traffic through Pandy

To the A483 on an already poorly kept & dangerous access road which will adversely effect the lives of the people already living with increased heavy traffic and pollution to an unacceptable level. Where is the infrastructure for this development? Doctors schools and local amenities only exist in Gwersyllt & Wrexham.

Already a much conjested main road through Rhosrobin, it’s like The Wacky Races, nothing has ever been done to enforce the supposedly 30 mph speed limit, you take your life into your own hands when you try to cross this road, I’ve had near misses several times trying to get to and from bus stops.

What is happening to the green green grass of home ? Greedy developers with absolutely no thought for elderly folk living in our villages, whether to visit a doctor, take a walk nearby with their maybe only companion…and there are many of us…WITHOU having to cross an extremely fast and busy main road.

I invite you to come and observe the situation from my living room.

Totally against this! the traffic is already a nightmare on this road and with the already approved 192 houses it is going to be even worse especially at peak times and school runs! One other thing that concerns me is where is the wildlife that occupy both the approved site and this one going to go when there are no longer fields only houses!

Shortage of houses? Wrexham population static. Come to Wrexham, it’s a dumping ground.

This will increase traffic congestion on already busy roads. It can take a long time in rush hour to turn from Plas Acton Road on to Llay New Road, during busy periods, the traffic can back up to half way down Bluebell Lane and this development will make it a lot worse.

Walked my dogs on these fields for 15 years. Lovely greenbelt area that is going to be spoilt. Play road already too busy, this development will make it a nightmare. Totally against it.

We have been resident for over 40 years and are very concerned at the inevitable increase in traffic and air pollution that this development will create.

We cannot afford to allow this development to continue. The local infrastructure cannot cope with another 91 houses. The biodiversity of this parcel of land provides wild flowers, insects, beautiful butterflies and a sparrow hawk. Should planning be approved it will allow the villages of Pandy and Rhosrobin to join as one continuous development which is contrary to Council policy.

Infrastructure in the area can’t cope. Already got a new development going on adjoining land by the a483 so no need for even more!!
