Dodds Lane roundabout

We, the undersigned, believe action is needed to improve the busy junction at Dodds Lane/Hope St/High St in Gwersyllt.

As local residents and regular visitors to the shopping centre and other local facilities, we believe the whole area needs to be risk assessed and changes made as a priority.

We request, as a relatively easy way of reducing risks for both drivers and pedestrians, that a zebra crossing is installed, as well as slowing the traffic down to 20mph from all four access roads to the junction.

Several times a week I cross on the roundabout at around 09:10 whilst jogging to Alton Waters and not once have I felt anything other than that I’ve taken my life in my hands ! It’s just too busy to be safe for pedestrians and there are far too many impatient and, frankly, p**s poor drivers, around at least at that time of day.

This crossroads is an extremely hazardous junction, which, in my opinion needs immediate attention before a serious accident occurs.

I use this road regularly an during the roadworks on the A483, it has become busier than normal.

What about installing 4-way traffic lights instead of the roundabout? Only an idea.

I’ve used this junction many times, it can be quite dangerous to cross, especially as you’re watching traffic from 4 angles. Many parents and guardians walk their children from the nearby school and it’s just too dangerous to cross with little ones, or anyone that’s slow.

This needs addressing my mate and his girlfriend who’s wheelchair bound nearly got killed on this road it’s is dangerous for pedestrians and also for drivers like myself it really needs addressing for everyone’s safety
